Summary, etc.	«“Cruzar la noche” recibió el Segundo Premio en el Concurso Colihue de Novela Juvenil 1995, sobre un total de cien obras. Alicia Barberis, la autora, organizó una historia "dura" que ubicó en San José del Rincón, donde ella vive, muy cerca de la ciudad de Santa Fe. A partir de investigaciones y testimonios, Alicia construyó su novela -es decir, una ficción- que se cruza audazmente con la historia real y bastante reciente de nuestro país, la de la dictadura militar y los hechos derivados de ese ominoso período. Sin embargo, el discurso de la historia y el literario no se clausuran recíprocamente, al contrario, se entretejen, pues los dos tienen el “valor de verdad". Porque como lo aclara Graciela lritano -quien estuvo a cargo del estudio crítico que acompaña la obra- la ficción expone una verdad diferente, no verificable fucra de la novela, pero verdad al fin por el efecto que ese objeto ficticio produce en el lector. El lector que acompañará a Mariana, a Marina, en ese “cruzar la noche" para recuperar su identidad.»
